If you are passionate about girl leadership and love any of the GSLI themes this year, consider applying to be a chaperone through your local Girl Scout council. Adult chaperones will work with the girls before, during, and after the GSLI.
These adults will support girls’ Take Action plans when they return home. To help them do so, chaperones will have their own adult sessions on girls’ Take Action issues and the planning processes girls will use.
GSLI chaperones may be adult volunteers or Girl Scout council staff members. Many councils select chaperones using the same vetting process they use for selecting chaperones for extended teen travel and trips.
Talk to your local Girl Scout council for more information.
